Please do not guess the answer, native and fluent speakers with teaching experience or have lived in Germany for 2+ years only
I am really wanting to know if "Bettina hat an die Katze nicht geschrien" sounds okay and is formed well. I think the 'an' may actually go before the geschrien.

Cellulite is often misunderstood. The appearance is often likened to that of cottage cheese or is given the nice little term dimpled. Regardless of what you want to call it, cellulite is simply subcutaneous fat deposits.
Regardless of popular thought cellulite is not a "fat" problem, in fact it has more to genetics. Individuals are predisposed as to how their body will store its fat. This is the reason why you will see thin individuals with cellulite and over weight individuals who do not appear to have any cellulite at all. In addition environmental damage, aging and hormones are also thought to play a role in the formation of cellulite.
If you are looking for a natural solution for cellulite than essential oils may be an option. Many essential oils may be safely used to help reduce the appearance of cellulite. The applications that are most commonly used are bathing and massage. For a bath use approximately ten drops of your chosen essential oil in your water, do not however add the oil to your bath until you have finished running your water. Ensure that you agitate the water with your hand before getting in to ensure that the oil is not sitting in a clump on the surface.
The other application that can be used is by making up a mixture that can be massaged into the affected area. To make a massage oil for this purpose simply add two to three drops of your chosen essential oil and add it to one ounce of your favorite carrier oil and enjoy. Regardless which application you choose, use regularly.
1. The aroma of Tangerine essential oil can be described as sweet, fresh, comforting and lively. This essential oil is extracted from the outer peel of the fruit by cold expression. If you decide to give Tangerine essential oil a try ensure that you to do not use it before you on an area of skin that will exposed to direct sunlight as it is has been known to be phototoxic.
Other citrus essential oils that can be applied for this therapeutic use are lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit.
2. Geranium essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves, stalks or flowers of the plant Pelargonium graveolens. This essential oil has an exotic, spicy, floral scent and is known as the "women's oil" because of the benefits it provides for menstrual and menopausal issues.
3. Wintergreen essential oil has a warm minty scent which is recognized world wide. This essential oil is extracted by steam or water distillation from the leaves of the plant Gaultheria procumbens.
4. Oregano is one of the most popular spices found in kitchens however Oregano essential oil is one of the most popular oils in aromatherapy. This oil is extracted by steam distillation from the dried herb and leaves.
5. Juniper Berry essential oil is believed to be one of the first aromatics used dating back to ancient civilizations. This versatile essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the dried or slightly dried ripened fruit of the plant Juniperus communis.
6. Pine essential oil has a very recognizable scent and is often associated with winter and the holidays. This essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the needles, twigs and buds of Pinus sylvestris. Do not use oil from the dwarf pine Pinus pumilio.
If using essential oils interests you then choose an essential oil that has the therapeutic properties that you are looking for but that also has a scent or aroma that you find appealing.
Anyone know ways to flush out your liver other than the recipes with epsom salts and olive oil?

drink a lot of water
its free and works
why do european skincare products seem better?
Not to hate on American made products or products popular in the states but why does it seem that the highest rated have nothing to do with American technology or chemistry? Is it because European women demand more from the products they buy? More history and greater understanding of skin? I was comparing Mederma and bio-oil and Mederma's recommendations seemed to limit the types of scars it could be used on drastically. Bio-oil simply says use it: it works and the reviews are in bio-oils favor.
It might have something to do with regulations: in Europe, use has to be proven, and obviously, they should work. So it might cover a bigger range in working area's, because of all the testing and checking the products.

Britain has finally begun to re-decorate its homes. After years of waiting on the property ladder, home owners have been asked, in the last three years, to re-consider their positions. Homes are no longer owned to be sold. Homes are owned to live in – and the resulting change in decorative fashions and standards has been quite noticeable. The new British home make a statement about its owners – who lives there, what they do, what they love. A lot of this statement has to do with originality: a reaction against all those years of sameness that the once booming housing market encouraged. Modern British house decoration is about finding and using art, for example, that no-one else has: genuine originals. Modern abstract art is a great way to do this in a decorative fashion.
Abstract art works in home decor schemes because it is deliberately not tied to the image of a recognisable object. That means that people looking at it get a much broader range of interpretations and emotions out of it: which means that it means more things to more people and so allows a very personal shine to be put on any room. With – and here's the money shot – the personal preoccupations, feelings, or whatever of each individual person coming into that room forming the basis for their individual reaction to it. A room that has been decorated using a piece of original modern abstract art will give an intensely personal feeling to everyone who comes into it – and the feeling will be different depending who the person is.
Abstract art also works because it tends to be very colourful. Once you discard the idea of trying to depict a recognisable object, you are no longer tied to notions of realism or otherwise. You can use colours because they work, because they fit, or because you like them. You can use colours to provoke moods and emotional reactions. As a consequence abstract art can be chosen for its colour matching abilities as much as for its actual content.
If you want to go one step further, you can even commission your own completely original piece of modern abstract art from some places. You supply a brief, indicating how large you would like your picture to be, and what colours you want to predominate. If you want, you can also point your chosen painter in the direction of other pieces you like; or you can deliver a theme in terms of words, feelings, pieces of music – anything that is personal to you. Your artist will then create your very own original modern art painting, designed specifically to inhabit that room in this house.
In a world where everyone's idea of decor used to start and stop with neutral colours and a few universally acceptable reproduction art prints, this has to be one of the most enjoyable consequences of the changes to our way of life. We are living again, in the homes we already have – living for today, and for the feelings of personal security our homes gives us, rather than the money they may accrue in a sale. The modern abstract art appearing on our walls is evidence that feeling is coming back into the British home.

Modern Landscape Art Questions
ART JAPAN IDEAS PLEASE!?
I'm studying art at school and we i picked Japan as my next topic.
But i don't know what style to look at.
Should i do:
a) traditional Japan, like flowers, animals and landscapes.
b) modern Japan, tokyo city, harajuku fashion and anime.
Your opinions please?
modern japan is more iconic... Drawing anime well is very hard so you'll have to practice if you want to put some manga in. Kimonos (those floral long dresses women traditionally wore) are also distinctively japanese. Whichever route you go down you have a wide variety of stuff you could do. Its a good subject choice My advice is to look at both closely before deciding as there is loads you could do.
costs of taking up painting as my next hobby....?
I'd like to try painting. I don't know if I'm going to take to it or not. It's possible, as I took a few landscape painting classes as a kid & seemed to have some talent. I'm only interested specificaly now in a more abstract/modern style. My current circumstances strictly limit my budget- so I'm nervous about buying lots of paints & supplies... I may not even be all that good at it anyways.
Some people have suggested watercolors- which are very cheap to buy, but that is not the style I want to paint in.
Some people have suggested taking art classes again (affordable ones at the community center), but unless I find one that is just for modern art, I'd rather not.
Artists- how did you get started. What can you recommend?
i got started in an art class and the only colors you really need to buy if you want to paint are sienna brown, red, blue, yellow, titanium white, also a few paintbrushes couldn't hurt. i bought all of these things at Michael's for around $40 and canvases come in double packs for $12 there too

Watercolor Art Questions
What medium to you prefer to use when making art and where do you draw inspiration?
Out of the following choices: oil paints, watercolor, acrylic, pastels?
I took Art all 4 yrs of high school and we experimented with various mediums. I didnt care too much for watercolor then. After that, I didnt take any Art classes during college which I regret. I want to start up again just in my spare time. What do you use for inspiration also? Do you look at certain pictures and go from there? I'm just trying to get some ideas. Thanks!
The best inspiration is to be around other artists. Look for groups in your area and talk to them. Also, go to museums often. See art. A lot of it. Go to art shows. Take a class or two somewhere. I live with an artist and I am an artist as well. Before we moved in together, my art was stagnant...couldn't do anything. Now I'm painting again and entering shows. I visit the local museum often and anytime I visit a different city, I go to the museum there. Inspiration hits me at anytime, and it could come from anywhere. Trying to explain it is like trying to explain a color. Sometimes it will be a gorgeous sunset, a bird in flight or just the way a person smiles or tilts their head. I do look at pictures, lots of them. Sometimes they may be the starting point for a piece of work or become the focus of my work. The photos I use are my own and I try to change it in some way to make it a more original piece of art rather than just coping from a photo.
I hope this helps somewhat.
