I have a very large painting on canvas that is all acrylic paint and its been about 1 yr since ive cleaned it-no glass over it and the flowers on it are raised above the flat service.im just not knowing what would be safe to use on it.thank you
Acrylic paint is basically color suspended in plastic. A damp cloth should be fine to wipe it down gently should it need to be cleaned. Do not use any kind of cleaning chemicals.

I usually peruse the thrift stores for cheap, framed artworks for my home. You can find an amazing array of beautiful works that you can afford at places like Salvation Army, Goodwill, and the like. Also, if you're near a major college campus, look around during the week of summer break. Often students will dump loads of art works and other perfectly good stuff because it's cheaper to get daddy to replace it all next semester. I've found entire computer systems and entertainment centers in the trash, with nothing wrong with them. This is better than cheep, it's free.

I have a stack of family portraits on canvas that I am saving for my children. I am trying to figure out how to store them. There are also larger photos.
